Our Fourth ‘SILENT FILM SPECTACULAR’

Wednesday 15th February 2012 @ 7.30 pm

Following the enormous success of our three previous ‘Silent Film Spectacular’ evenings, by popular persuasion, I am pleased to announce yet another such event which will undoubtedly be as enjoyable as the previous.

The main feature film this year will be another Buster Keaton classic, ‘Steam Boat Bill Jr.’   Like its sequel  (‘The General’) shown on the last occasion it is likely to again have the audience in fits of laughter throughout!

For maximum enjoyment, there is only one way to experience such films; that is on the large screen, with live music accompaniment performed by a skilled exponent of the art.  For this role, we are fortunate to again welcome Donald MacKenzie, an organist with unique ability and arguably one of the world’s finest of this genre!

Do not miss the opportunity to attend.  A big demand for tickets is anticipated.  Entrance on the evening will be £12.00 each, but you have the opportunity to buy your tickets at the advance booking price of £10.00 each, (Students half price).

The simplest way to obtain tickets is to print off the displayed booking form and post it to me with your cheque as directed.  Your tickets will then be mailed to you by return.

Tickets can also be purchased direct from the church office on weekday mornings, or the coffee bar on Saturday mornings. Alternatively make direct contact with Derrick & Janice Matthews (01296 488076) or Pauline & Tony Noble (01296 484940).

I look forward to welcoming you.
