CHURCHES TOGETHER - LENT COURSE  2012

Throughout Lent this year we will be following a course entitled “Snapshots from the Life of Christ” as revealed by St Matthew. The course was produced by Interactive Christian Extension Studies (part of Trinity Open Learning, Bristol) and aims to provide:

· an outline of the life and teaching of Jesus Christ based on Matthew’s Gospel

· a sound method of interpreting and applying the teaching of the Gospels to our own situation

· the chance to work out together what God might be calling us to do in response to the Gospel.

In each session, as well as teaching material, there are full-colour pictures to stimulate ideas, suggestions for informal worship together, and quizzes.

The course will be led by Revd. Mike Butterworth and will take place in the Methodist Church on each Wednesday in Lent, 7.30 to 9pm. Coffee and tea will be served at the beginning of each session. Everyone is welcome to attend any or all of the sessions and we look forward to seeing you.
