Wingrave Methodist Church Mission Statement

“Showing God’s compassion through word and deed.”

At Wingrave Methodist Church, we are a group of Christians working with the guidance of the Holy Spirit to provide a centre for progressive worship and cater for the needs, both spiritual and temporal, of members of our village community. We endeavour to achieve this by responding to our calling as Christians through:

Worship:

- ensuring that God is central to all that we do

- being willing to explore new ways of worship, rather than being hidebound by liturgy

Learning and Caring:

- pursuing activities which help to deepen our faith in God

- valuing the community within our Church and also being active members of the *wider community in Wingrave

Service:

- being outward looking, responding to the needs of our community and those elsewhere

- making best use of our premises to serve the community and the wider world

Evangelism:

- being visible, inclusive and welcoming, communicating the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ

   - being relevant to today's people, with today's needs, in the 21st century
