Prayer for the Circuit this quarter from Rev David Jenkins:
Renewing God,
Re-energise our lives, Re-focus our vision, Remind us of your love.
Guide our thinking, Guard our speaking, Generate our enthusiasm, Give us your Spirit.
Turn us towards you, Teach us new truth, Take our talents,
Transform us into your likeness
In Jesus, Amen.
The Traditional Covenant Prayer
'I am no longer my own but yours.
Put me to what you will,
rank me with whom you will;
put me to doing,
put me to suffering;
let me be employed for you,
or laid aside for you,
exalted for you,
or brought low for you;
let me be full,
let me be empty,
let me have all things,
let me have nothing:
I freely and wholeheartedly yield all things
to your pleasure and disposal.
And now, glorious and blessed God,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
you are mine and I am yours.'

Mobilising Churches to pray up to, during and after 2012
Praying locally but linking nationally
We want to invite every church, group and organisation to explore creative ways to pray in and for all that will take place during this season; praying that the presence of Jesus will fill every community; that the power of the gospel will be released and that many people will discover the truth about Jesus Christ and that God’s purpose for our nations is fulfilled through the church working in unity in each community.
We want to pray for
The People
- those involved in More than Gold
- each member of Team GB and their families
- our own friends, family members and work colleagues
- the teams of people involved in local mission delivery
- competitors and their families, coaches and international media from the 205 nations who will compete
More than Gold is resourcing the church across the UK to get involved in hospitality, service and mission during the lead up to and during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The More than Gold Prayer team (which represents denominations and partner organisations of More than Gold) is working with other prayer ministries ensuring that prayer is integral to all that takes place.
