The events on the Weekend of June 29th/30th

On the Saturday night, Donna has arranged a Hoe-down in Marsden’s Barn (behind Brises Farmhouse, Nearton End). Dancing will be to the Cock and Bull Band, which includes our very own Vanda Bennett. Tony and Charlotte will provide food - chicken and coleslaw etc., and you are invited to bring your own drink. Tickets are £12.50 per person, children £4, and we hope that everyone will come and take part. Proceeds are for Chapel Funds.

Then on Sunday, we have our Open Air Service, which is also a Circuit Service (in the Barn if wet), which will be all-age worship led by Frankie and the young people. Seating will be straw bales or bring your own chairs. The service will be preceded by activities for young people, beginning at 3 p.m., with teas provided in the chapel.

Family Communion

This is a reminder to those of you who have not been to a Family Communion that these services are open to everyone, and everyone is welcome to share in the taking of the bread and wine as well. Jesus shared his last Supper with his friends just before his arrest and execution, and in joining in the eating of bread and drinking wine (unfermented grape juice actually), we are remembering his life and all that he stood for, and looking to share in all that this means for today’s world.
