About us: We offer traditional Methodist worship every Sunday in delightful surroundings.  A warm welcome is extended to all who come to join us in worship, prayer and singing supported by our historic Willis pipe organ. Restored in 1999 it was originally built by Father Willis for the Duke of Wellington and first installed in Apsley House Picacadilly. It was purchased by the Church in 1945 for £722 to commemorate the Church's centenary. .

Midweek activities include Charity Lunches, Mens' Singing.

Afternoon Teas (with home made cakes) on a Monday from 3.00 pm till 4.00 pm.  Ask Roger Watson for details.

   WORSHIP LEADERS COURSE

Worship Leaders Training Course April – July 2010

Over the past few years the Methodist Church in general and this circuit in particular has encouraged the training and the use of Worship Leaders to assist preachers, to provide a variety of talents and ideas and to use their gifts and graces in many areas of the life of the church.

Worship Leaders are encouraged to assist in Worship, lead small groups, help in junior church, take worship out to hospitals, care homes, day centres and youth groups.  The Worship Leaders’ Course consists of seven 90 minute sessions where the participants discuss, practice and learn about aspects of worship.

Earlier in the year some members at Whitchurch approached their minister to enquire about the possibility of a Worship Leaders’ Course being run and so a general invitation was sent out to all the circuit churches to see if there were any others interested in attending the course.

Seven people, 4 from Whitchurch, 2 from Princes Risborough and 1 from Aylesbury signed up for the course and it was led Arthur Sara who was assisted by Rev. Ann Varker for some of the seven sessions, four of which were hosted by Roger Watson in Whitchurch, one was held in Aylesbury and the final two sessions were held in Princes Risborough Methodist Church.

The fellowship enjoyed by the group was excellent and the enthusiasm, initiative and faith shown was an inspiration to all who attended.  All seven participants were successful and as soon as The Circuit meeting and their own Church Councils recognise them they will be fully fledged Worship Leaders in their own churches.

Congratulations to Paul Alderman, Emma Foulger Clarke, Karen Foulger Kouza, and Roger Watson from Whitchurch, Victoria Hayden and Maureen Judd from Princes Risborough and Steve Marks from Aylesbury on their successful completion of this course.
