About us: Wingrave Methodists are a small group of ordinary people who enjoy fellowship and a shared belief. We pride ourselves on being happy and positive. Our services are open to all and we will always be delighted to welcome you. Come and meet us - and perhaps stay afterwards for a cuppa when we promise not to coerce or convert you! We hold a small library of Christian books.

Mission Statement  We have spent a lot of time refining the wording; for the final version ( ...click ) here.

Our Pastoral Mission –  four members have got together to discuss the possibilities which had been raised at various Mission Statement meetings and our Members‟ service.
It was agreed that we should begin with "baby steps" – the first of which is to gather a list of those who would be willing to commit themselves – even if only for small amounts of time – to visit, telephone, keep contact with, or otherwise befriend those in our community who are in need. If you think you would like to get involved, please contact Daphne (688438) or Jan. Thank you – and watch this space!

Singing the Faith

The Methodist Church is introducing a new hymn/song book entitled "Singing the Faith". In time it will replace "Hymns and Psalms" which was introduced in 1983. It seeks to "serve the people called Methodists in the present age".

We have opportunity to buy this new book at a discounted pre-publication price and we shall be ordering 40 for use by the congregation, plus a Full Music edition.

There is opportunity for members of the congregation to purchase their own copies, should they so wish. Prices are:

Words edition          Full Price   £9   Pre-publication price £7.50

Full music edition    Full Price £30   Pre-publication price £25

Large print edition    Full Price £15   Pre-publication price £12.50

Circuit Meeting: We are delighted to announce that our scheme for the refurbishment and rebuilding programme was approved at the recent Circuit Meeting and a grant of £30 000 towards the cost was agreed. Our thanks are extended, as always, to the Circuit for its continued support of our Chapel in so many ways. Thanks too to David Jenkins and Pat Roberts for representing our efforts at the meeting, and to John Cotton for his hard work in putting it all together.

Your Generosity
In the space of little more than a fortnight the two churches in Wingrave raised a very big sum for charity  … more than £1,500
Harvest supper, auction and collection raised £795 for the Whitechapel Mission; £550 for the Pakistan Flood Appeal; £227 for Macmillan Cancer Support.  A very big
thank you to all those folk who supported these events.
