As social distancing is no longer mandatory you will not be required to book a seat and will be free to sit where you wish to. However, you may still be asked to sign in, use sanitiser provided and to respect the space of other worshippers, if that is their wish. You may still be expected to wear a face mask, but during the service you may sing hymns, and speak responses as normal, although books may not be provided. The retiring collection will remain, hand shaking, and hugging are still discouraged to minimise contact. This cautious approach is in line with advice from the Connexion.
Central in the village on the High Street, this is a magnificent building with a hall and a welcoming congregation.
Services are usually at 11 a.m. on a Sunday.
Also there is a monthly Family worship at 6.p.m. on 2nd Sunday. This is shorter and less formal and particularly suited to those who are 'trying' church.
Tuesday Light Lunch is fortnightly and a great place to have a freshly cooked meal with good fellowship.
Table Tops and Lunches are held monthly on a Saturday as advertised. Raising funds for the upkeep of the chapel building, there is a great buzz amongst those gathered to buy crafts, grab a bargain and eat a very good meal.
The hall is available for private hire at a reasonable cost — kitchen, toilets and disabled facilities available; for further details and conditions of hire. please contact: Barbara Warne 01296 651417
