As social distancing is no longer mandatory you will not be required to book a seat and will be free to sit where you wish to. However, you may still be asked to sign in, use sanitiser provided and to respect the space of other worshippers, if that is their wish. You may still be expected to wear face coverings, but during the service you may sing hymns, and speak responses as normal, although books may not be provided. The retiring collection will remain, hand shaking, and hugging are still discouraged to minimise contact. This cautious approach is in line with advice from the Connexion.
Built in 1872, rebuilt in 1873, extended in 1978 and 1982, and refurbished in 2016, we are a small and friendly church, in the heart of the village. We welcome people of all ages.
You will find us on the B4009, the main road through Chinnor, behind the cottage at 62 Station Road. There is room for 3 cars to park on the drive, but it is easier to park in the free car park located 100m down the road, close to St. Andrew's school and the Unity Health doctor's surgery.
Pre-Covid, we met on Sunday mornings at 10.30am, for services of worship with hymns, songs, Bible readings, prayer and teaching, followed by refreshments and time to chat. There are toys and books available for the children. We look forward to being able to do this again.
The building has good disabled access and facilities, with a hearing loop in the main church.
