Activities

FIRST SUNDAY CAFÉ.
Come along on any First Sunday between 12.30 and 2 p.m. and you'll find a buzzing Café going on in the Chapel. Ploughman's lunches with lots of cheese varieties and all manner of salads and garnishes plus crusty rolls pile up the plates and then there's tea and coffee and cake and much friendly chat.
The all-in charge of £4.50 helps towards the Chapel's ongoing refurbishment programme – next in line: a streamlined kitchen with new cooker.

The STONE THURSDAY CLUB
meets in the Chapel on the second Thursday each month : 2 p.m. – 3.30 p.m.
This is a Club for the over 60s, especially those who live alone and/or find it difficult to get around.
There is a small subscription for each meeting. For transport contact Dee James 01296 748691

The FOURTH TUESDAY FELLOWSHIP
meets in the Chapel on the fourth Tuesday each month : 2.30 – 4ish plenty of tea and chat!
This is a non-denominational fellowship, open to everyone, with a varied programme including visiting speakers, informal afternoons enjoying readings and poems and generally centred around a short informal act of worship.

SIMPLY WALK: A programme of free volunteer led walks aiming to help folk enjoy getting out and about in the countryside, improve health and be more active. The walks are free and designed to cater for everyone, allowing you to walk at your own pace. All walks are led by qualified volunteers and back markers so you can't be left behind. Just dress for the weather and have sturdy, comfortable footware.
For the Stone walks, meet at the Methodist Chapel on alternate Wednesdays. The walk lasts approximately 1.5 hours and on returning to the Chapel you can enjoy fresh coffee or tea and biscuits all fairly traded. There is a small charge for these refreshments. For more information, contact Fiona Broadbent, 01494 475367 or visit www.buckscc.gov.uk/simply walk

ART FOR PLEASURE. If you enjoy drawing/painting and getting together with like minded folk to practice, then come along to the Group who meet in the Chapel on Monday afternoons from 1.30 p.m. Ring Josie Brandon for more details on 01296 748031.

OPEN THE BOOK TEAM. This ecumenical team including our Minister Keith Edwards and Chapel member Sue Spinks takes regular Assemblies in three local schools. The aim is to bring Bible stories and truths to the young people – to literally open the Book for them – using dramatic story-telling. Each Session consists of an introduction, a short drama in which children are invited to take part – and yes, we dress up appropriately – a sentence or two on how the story resonates in today's world.
